Dig your well

Everyone desires an abundant life, but are we large enough containers to hold it?
Over the years, I’ve come to understand more and more the value of timing.
Sometimes, we yearn for certain achievements, but it’s not yet our time. We still need to learn a few more lessons.

Unfortunately, it’s possible to encounter the right things at the wrong time and be inevitably destined to lose them because we don’t yet have the skills required to manage them. This happens in work, in goals, and in relationships.

Somehow, I’ve realized that life is an ongoing attempt to fill our container with experiences, people, money, and milestones… when, in reality, our focus should remain on the actions that allow us to expand, to transform ourselves into deeper wells, capable of holding more water.

Imagine this scene:

If the well is deep, the water (representing opportunities, successes, experiences) will flow abundantly and consistently. If the well is shallow, the water will be scarce. The depth of our ‘inner well’ – that is, our ability to face and manage life, challenges, and success – depends on the actions we take daily to grow, improve, and prepare ourselves.

The key?

The key, then, is not just wishing for what we want, but becoming the person ready to receive it.

Investing time and energy to grow, refine our skills, and broaden our vision. In doing so, we will be ready when the right moment comes.

It’s not just about reaching the destination; it’s about becoming the person who can truly handle the success when it arrives.

It’s not about having the perfect relationship, but becoming someone capable of sustaining a healthy one.

My advice to you is this: instead of desperately chasing what you want, focus on what you can do to prepare yourself to welcome it.

Dig your well, enlarge it, and get ready to receive all the surprises life has in store for you.
